The Wedding of the Century!!

When I visited Westminister Abbey in 2001, I would have never imagined that 10 years later I'd be watching Prince William get married there!  I was too young then to truly appreciate the beauty of the abbey, but today I was in awe of it's splendor!

I started the day, by waking up at an hourly I hardly see (thank goodness)!  I never imagined Kate wearing a dress like she did, but it was beautiful, and befitting of a princess.  And Prince William didn't look so bad himself!

I kept thinking throughout the ceremony what Diana is thinking right now?  I would bet she is proud of the man that Wills has become, and equally proud of the partner he has chosen.  I thought it was so sweet when Kate walked down the aisle and Will leaned over and said "You look beautiful!"  Awww....

Pippa's dress, however, was a sore spot for me.  White?? Really??  I think the only one that should be wearing white at a wedding is the BRIDE!  I old fashioned in that way I guess.  The cut of the dress was beautiful, however!  She definately had a big job watching out for all those kiddos!  But the children seemed to behave beautifully -- maybe the Queen promised them a couple hundred pounds for their piggybanks!  And Harry was dashing as ever, I'm not sure which brother is cuter.  They are equally cute, but very different looking!  Kate's brother seemed a little awkward and out of place doing the reading, but I guess he was nervous having to read in front of 2 billion people, hey no pressure!  If I'd been asked to do that job, I think we'd know that answer!!

The queen looked like a little ray of sunshine!  To be eighty something, she's getting around pretty good!  Camilla's dress was a little drab, but I'm not a fan, I've always been on TEAM DIANA!  Hey maybe I should make shirts.  I was a bit surprised in Mrs. Middleton's choice of wardrobe.  I found it a bit boring!  Guess she didn't want to steal the limelight from the bride!

I thought all the readings that were chosen and all the words that were said were wonderful!  I'm sure they'll be a lot of copy catting of the program!  My favorite speaker was the Bishop of London.

Well I'm sad that today's events are over, guess now we have Harry's wedding to look forward too, and in the probably distant future the coronation of this lovely couple when they're crowned King and Queen of England!
